Food was good

It was very good but could have been smoked longer. Brisket was too pink and not smoked enough. Otherwise it was very good. The meat was melt in your mouth. So I would return again .

I stopped here for lunch on my way to San Antonino.....They outdid themselves on the ribs... They were very tender. The veggies, however were bland.Other than that everything else was great....I plan to come here again whenever I make another trip to San Antonio.

Not bad. Rustic but very clean. Ribs were very good but the brisket a bit dry. Sauce is good if unremarkable. The slaw was decent but the green beans were the kind out of a can. The tea was excellent. I would come back if nearby but would not make a special trip either. Oh, the classic Remington Autoloader poster are a nice addition.

I have been a customer 30 years and it s the best cooked beef ever. Please anyone travelling on 35, please stop and taste it..you will realize it is the best tasting healthy BBQ. Thanks to Sharon and the team!!!!

Finally tried it wasn't impressed. Macaroni tasted like water... Ribs and brisket had absolutely no flavor... Very dry where it was a must to eat the meat with BBQ sauce. Only thing that was decent was the pinto beans.

Staff is not wearing masks over their mouth or nose, just bandanas around their neck. They are also not requiring patrons to wear masks at to go order and takeaway counter. No cars in the parking lot when I arrived and one maskless customer arrived as I was leaving. The chopped beef did not look good at all as it was being scooped into the container while being breathed on. I decided to forgo Cowboy's.

We drove 2 hrs out of our way to enjoy some BBQ !! Loved it !!

The brisket was dry and the BBQ was water. The atmosphere was like a funeral home. We are born and raised Texans and this was awful, we know what BBQ should be like.

Chicken are dry. Beef it's ok not big fan of it. My husband and I didn't like it. We like schuffes in belton better

Me and my grandparents eat here every Friday (when we are all available), and always have a good time just relaxing in the welcoming atmosphere and eating together. The food is excellent and homemade, I highly recommend stopping by during lunch or dinner!

Best original BBQ for a family owned business, meat always taste great lots of flavor and cooked just right . The sides are excellent and the desert as well ... if you get a chance try their beef jerky

I'm Very picky on my bbq. So decided to try Cowboys BBQ, I had the Brisket and sour cream potatoes... the Brisket was Excellent... I can't say enough good things about the Brisket... Much Better than the "other" local bbq joint... Thanks Cowboys BBQ..I'll be back

Best beef jerky in Central Texas. I stop by whenever I'm traveling thru and have been known to drive up from Austin just to buy jerky!

Stopped here to avoid bad traffic. Was pleasantly surprised. Quick service, reasonable prices, and the food was great. I highly recommend the ribs.

Ordered several pounds of brisket, sausage and sour cream potato’s for my parents anniversary party. Everyone went on and on about how good the meat was and the sour cream potato’s were just amazing.

Not really sure how these guys are still in business. This was the driest and worst BBQ I've ever seen. I couldn't even stand to touch it and threw half of it out of the window on the way home and gave my dog what was left. My dog liked it though. Fella likes to up charge you too if you dress nice. Bad food and poor integrity. Great combination...

Sides tasted like they were out of a can (corn)or box (mac n cheese) and very watery. The meat was tender but no flavor. We were disappointed

Brisket was great, my wife's ribs were so dry they were hardly edible. Sides were on a steam table that was cold. Won't go back.

Basic barbecue restaurant. Good food at affordable prices. Humble facilities and decor, but very clean and well kept. Friendly employees/servers.
